Individual Music Therapy (Culture-centred)
This is particularly suitable for those people from migrant or refugee backgrounds who are struggling between two or more different cultures. It aims to support their acculturation process by:
Balancing different levels of cultural identities
Mobilising personal, social, and cultural resources
Redefining cultural conflict and activating cultural fluidity
Managing acculturative stress
Developing self-awareness within a social context
Where? Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I deliver individual music therapy services on Zoom. Home visiting is available to those clients who need family-based intervention or for whom Telehealth is not clinically appropriate.
Group Music Therapy (Community-based)
I’m looking forward to partnering with schools, universities, organisations, and community centres to set up music therapy programs for multicultural groups (all ages) with a focus on:
Social connectedness
Multicultural collaboration
Celebrating human diversity
Amplifying unheard voices
Integrating into the new cultural home
